Horan leads the Wareham Gatemen to 9-3 win over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks

An impressive effort by Tyler Horan hoisted the Wareham Gatemen (14-17) to a 9-3 win over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (13-19) on Monday at McKeon Park.

Horan blasted two home runs for the Wareham Gatemen. Horan went 2-5 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Horan homered in the fourth and eighth innings.

The biggest inning for the Wareham Gatemen was the eighth. The Hyannis Harbor Hawks had no answer as the Wareham Gatemen scored five runs.

Clay Chapman put together a nice outing. The Hyannis Harbor Hawks managed just one hit off of the the Wareham Gatemen's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Dominic Jose did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning.

Kendall Graveman got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over six innings. Graveman struck out six, walked two and gave up five hits.

David Garner (2-3) took the loss for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out nine, and allowed four runs.
