The United States National Team second-inning burst enough to top the Czech Republic, 10-0

Story by Narrative Science.

The United States National Team (16-1) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Czech Republic (0-1), recording a 10-0 victory on Saturday at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.

The game was decided quickly as the United States National Team exerted their will early with nine runs in the first three innings.

An error, a sacrifice fly by Ashley Holcombe, a two-run single by Kaitlin Cochran, a double by Michelle Moultrie, and a solo home run by Lauren Gibson in the second inning fueled the United States National Team's offense early.

Molly Johnson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the United States National Team. She singled in the second inning and homered in the third inning.

Jordan Taylor recorded her fourth win of the year for the United States National Team. Taylor struck out six, walked one and gave up no hits.

Vendula Draha (0-1) took the loss for the Czech Republic. She allowed six runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.
