Monday was a great day for Jude Vidrine, as he hit two home runs to carry the South TCL All-Stars (1-0) to a 10-2 victory over the North TCL All-Stars (0-1) at Riverside Stadium.
The South TCL All-Stars blew out the North TCL All-Stars thanks to nine hits, including zero extra base hits. The South TCL All-Stars scored three runs in the fifth on a solo home run by Issac Rodriguez, a hit by pitch, and a sacrifice fly by Billy Richard.
Dillon Newman put together a nice outing. Newman held the North TCL All-Stars hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Covey Morrow recorded his first win of the year for the South TCL All-Stars. Morrow struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.
Nathan Aultman couldn't get it done on the mound for the North TCL All-Stars, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
The South TCL All-Stars were sparked by Vidrine and Rodriguez, who teamed up for four hits and six RBIs.
