The Cotuit Kettleers outlast the Bourne Braves in high-scoring affair, 12-11

Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Cotuit Kettleers (9-10) and the Bourne Braves (4-15), as the two teams put up 23 runs combined in a 12-11 the Cotuit Kettleers win.

The teams totaled 30 hits in the game.

Raph Rhymes pushed the Cotuit Kettleers ahead, in the seventh inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. With the score tied at 11 in the seventh inning, Rhymes came to the plate and homered.

Rhymes had a hot bat for the Cotuit Kettleers. Rhymes went 2-6, drove in one and scored three runs. He singled in the first inning and homered in the seventh inning.

The Cotuit Kettleers were led by Cael Brockmeyer's hitting. Brockmeyer went 4-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the fourth, fifth, and eighth innings.

Jacob Stone got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed two runs over one-third of an inning. Stone struck out none, walked one and gave up three hits.

Ryan Donahue (0-3) took the loss for the Bourne Braves. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
