Valerie Arioto brought home the go-ahead run to give the United States National Team (3-0) the lead in the sixth inning, as the United States National Team hung on to beat the Netherlands National Team (3-1) 2-1 on Saturday.

The United States National Team were led by Arioto's hitting. Arioto went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

Jackie Taina baffled the Netherlands National Team, striking out five batters. Taina allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk over five innings.

Despite the loss, the Netherlands National Team's Dagmar Bloeming dominated the United States National Team's batters, giving up two runs and striking out five.

Chelsea Thomas got the win, running his season record to 2-0. Thomas struck out three, walked none and gave up one hit.
