The Australia National Team fight back, defeat the Canada National Team, 7-6

A loss looked likely for the Australia National Team (2-0) when they trailed by four runs in the sixth inning, but the Australia National Team were able to capture the lead back with a an RBI single by Brenda De Blaes in the seventh inning, spurring the Australia National Team to a 7-6 win over the Canada National Team (0-2) at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium on Friday.

With the score tied at six in the seventh inning, De Blaes came to the plate and singled, bringing home Melinda Weaver.

De Blaes reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the seventh inning.

Stacey Porter did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Australia National Team, reaching base three times. He singled in the sixth inning.

Kaia Parnaby recorded his second win of the year for the Australia National Team. Parnaby struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Jenna Caira couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Canada National Team, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
