Early lead not enough for the Puerto Rico National Team, drop 2-1 decision to the Brazil National Team

The Puerto Rico National Team (0-1) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 2-1 ballgame against the Brazil National Team (1-0) on Thursday at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.

An RBI single by Regina Someya gave the Brazil National Team the lead in the eighth inning.

Nilze Higa's nine strikeouts helped the Brazil National Team to the victory. Higa allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk over eight innings.

Lissette M Garay couldn't get it done on the bump for the Puerto Rico National Team, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked four, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
