Three first-inning runs helped the Chatham Anglers (7-4) to a 5-3 win over the Bourne Braves (2-9) at Doran Park on Thursday.

The Bourne Braves scored on a solo home run by Colin Moran in the third inning, a sacrifice fly by Mike Ahmed in the fifth inning, and an RBI single by Joe Jackson in the sixth inning. Unfortunately, the Bourne Braves weren't able to take the lead back.
Michael Wagner improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Chatham Anglers. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered five hits.
Chris Matulis (0-1) took the loss for the Bourne Braves. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
