Powers allows no runs to lead the Waterloo Bucks past the Thunder Bay Border Cats 7-0

Jake Powers kept the Thunder Bay Border Cats (11-14) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Waterloo Bucks (18-7) beat the Thunder Bay Border Cats, 7-0.

Powers struck out four and allowed no walks and four hits.

Five runs in the first three innings helped the Waterloo Bucks blow out the Thunder Bay Border Cats. A steal of home by Peter Leonello and during the first inning and an RBI double by Thomas Lindauer and an RBI single by Leonello in the second inning helped the Waterloo Bucks put some runs on the board early.

Leonello racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Waterloo Bucks.

Wes Parsons (4-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
