The Alexandria Aces (9-12) rolled over the Woodlands Strykers 13-3 on Sunday at Stryker Field after an eight-run rally in the eighth inning.
The Woodlands Strykers (6-14) jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Woodlands Strykers led until the eighth inning, but the Alexandria Aces took the lead back on a three-run double by David Zorn.
Ryan Wagner racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Alexandria Aces. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the ninth inning.
Joey Kaufman looked sharp on the mound. The Woodlands Strykers managed just three hits off of Kaufman, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out five during his four innings of work.
Michael Salter (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked two and struck out one.
