The Wareham Gatemen (3-3) continued to pile up the runs on Sunday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 12-3 win over the Cotuit Kettleers (3-3) at Lowell Park.
Gross racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Wareham Gatemen.
Ryan Milewski looked sharp on the mound. The Cotuit Kettleers managed just two hits off of the the Wareham Gatemen's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.
It was a good day at the plate for the Cotuit Kettleers' Aramis Garcia. Garcia went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the ninth inning.
Frederick Shepard recorded his first win of the year for the Wareham Gatemen. He allowed two runs over five innings. Shepard struck out six, walked two and gave up five hits.
Jordan Smith was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
