Former Millersville shortstop Mike August will continue his professional baseball career with the Washington Wild Things in 2013. August completed a two-year career with the Marauders in 2012 with a career batting average of .338 and a .401 on base percentage. Over 105 games, he drove in 64 runs, totaled 31 doubles and swiped 30 bases in 32 attempts. He was a driving force behind the 2011 NCAA Atlantic Region champs, ranking fifth in the PSAC in batting average (.379), second in runs scored (50), second in hits (75), fourth in RBIs (44) and third in total bases (104). August was the first Marauder shortstop since 1986 to earn All-PSAC East First Team honors and he became just the third player in program history to earn All-America recognition when he was named NCBWWA All-America Third Team. During his senior year, he was honored with the Rawlings/ABCA Atlantic Region Golden Glove winner.
