The Lake Erie Crushers need walk-off solo blast to beat the Rockford Aviators, 6-5

A walk-off solo home run from Daniel Bowman brought home the winning run for the Lake Erie Crushers (21-21) in a 6-5 victory over the Rockford Aviators (12-30) in 10 innings at All Pro Freight Stadium on Friday.

Bowman racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lake Erie Crushers. He singled in the first inning and homered in the tenth inning.

Mickey Jannis brought the heat against the Rockford Aviators during his outing. The Rockford Aviators managed just one hit off of Jannis, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his 4 2/3 innings of work.

Jordan Wellander recorded his first win of the year for the Lake Erie Crushers. Wellander struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Nick Cicio (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
