Pointstreak Completes Agreement with the Italian Ice Hockey Federation

Toronto, ON – Pointstreak.com Inc. and the Italian Ice Hockey Federation (Federazione Italiana Sport del Ghiaccio - FISG) are pleased to announce they have reached a long-term agreement. This agreement will see Pointstreak provide real-time scoring, official statistics and league administration software services to the top two senior leagues, four junior leagues, women’s league as well as the Italian National Team and National Junior and Women’s programs. All statistics will be presented in the Italian language as well as English using Pointstreak’s patented real-time scoring and statistical technology.

Hockey was played in Italy since the beginning of the 20th century and in 1924 Italy became a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. The Italian Ice Hockey Federation is a part of Federazione Italiana Sport del Ghiaccio (FISG), which is the governing body for ice sports in Italy. It was founded in 1926 to promote the practice of winter sports on ice and to coordinate events. Hockey is a popular sport in Italy and the national team competes at the highest level of World Championships.
