Pointstreak Extends Agreement with the Belarusian Ice Hockey Association

Toronto, ON – Pointstreak Sports Technologies Inc. and the Belarusian Ice Hockey Association (BIHA) are pleased to announce they have extended an agreement which will see Pointstreak provide real-time scoring, official statistics and league administrative services to the Belarusian Extraleague, Top League as well as the Belarus National Team and National Junior programs. All statistics will be presented in the Russian language as well as English using Pointstreak’s patented real-time scoring and statistical technology.

About Belarusian Ice Hockey Association:
Hockey began at the end of 1940’s in Belarus. Since becoming an independent country in 1992, the Belarusian Ice Hockey Association began to conduct a national championship. At the beginning of the country’s sovereignty there were only three indoor rinks. Today Belarus has 23 arenas including a 15,000 seat Minsk-Arena which will be the main venue of the 2014 World Championship. The Belarusian Ice Hockey Association was created on March 6, 1992 and became the member of the IIHF on May 6 of the same year.
