Philadelphia Flyers Partner with Pointstreak Sports Technologies Inc. To Provide Real-Time Scoring and Statistical Services to Youth Hockey Programs in the Greater Philadelphia Region

Toronto, ON — In their ongoing efforts to enhance the youth hockey playing experience in the Greater Philadelphia region, the Philadelphia Flyers today announced a long term partnership with Pointstreak Sports Technologies Inc. which will see the Flyers invest substantial resources and funds in youth and amateur hockey across the Philadelphia area.
Through this partnership, the Flyers will be providing participating leagues with access to Pointstreak’s real-time scoring and official statistics system, content management and website hosting system, and online registration platform. The Flyers will be installing the Pointstreak hardware and software system in more than 80 ice rinks throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region. The Delaware Valley Hockey League, Eastern Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey Association (High School Hockey) and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Roller Hockey League (MAC Division) are just some of the leagues and associations participating in this program supported by the Flyers.

Under the agreement, the Flyers have agreed to install Pointstreak's scoring terminals in more than 80 ice pads in the Philadelphia area. The Flyers, and their parent company, Comcast-Spectacor will underwrite the costs associated with registration, real-time scoring and statistics tracking as well as provide networked websites for all leagues and associations through www.philadelphiaflyers.com. The system will allow the Flyers to communicate with players, fans, and league officials on Flyers’ news, updates and special events.
